Strike finally ends

Safeway Stores in Thunder Bay will be re-opening soon.
91% of voting members of the United Food & Commercial Workers Union voted in favour of a new 44 month contract Sunday ending a strike that began on October 1st, 2001.
The deal drops company demands for wage rollbacks & should see the 3 Lakehead stores re-opened within 2 or 3 weeks.
