The threat of a strike at liquor stores across Ontario is looming larger.
The union representing workers is asking the Ministry of Labour to issue a “no board” report in its contract talks with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union says the LCBO’s actions away from the table, and its refusal to move on several key concerns has left them no choice but to “draw a line in the sand.”
Approval of the Union’s request could put workers in a strike position by the end of this month.
With Premier Kathleen Wynne saying its time for everyone to be paid their fair share, OPSEU President Smokey Thomas says time will tell if the government is really looking out for its employees.
