Elementary Teachers employed by the Keewatin-Patricia District School
Board will hold strike votes starting January 31st.
Voting will take place during a 3-day period in Dryden, Red Lake and
Kenora.
Peter Andrusco is the local Elementary Teachers Association rep and
stresses the vote doesn’t carry much weight at this stage.
Andrusco says negotiations with the Board have been running smoothly
and additional talks are scheduled for February 10th and 11th.
Meanwhile, Elementary Teachers with the Rainy River Board will hold
strike votes Monday, January 17th.
Atikokan instructors will meet at the White Otter Inn at 5:30.
