Strike Votes at Northwest Sawmills

Unionized workers at Atikokan Forest Products in Sapawe and at Bowaters Ignace sawmill have voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action.
Industrial Wood and Allied Workers Union Spokesperson Joe Hanlon says strike deadlines have been set.
The deadline in Ignace is August first, but more talks are planned soon.
At the Sapawe mill, a deadline has been set for July 22nd but both sides are now at the bargaining table.
