Restricted Fire Zone

The Ministry of Natural Resources has imposed a Restricted Fire Zone throughout the Northwest.
The notice means all burning including campfires is banned until further notice.
The move comes because hot, dry weather is expected to hang around with no significant rain in sight.
Fire crews are on high alert with roughly 100-active fires in the region, most started by lightning.
