The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says it’s very pleased
with the latest Province-wide Grade 10-literacy results.
Superintendent of Education Wendy Parkin says they have seen a steady
improvement in marks over the past 3-years.
The average score for the Public Board is 78%.
Dryden High School had the top result, with average test scores at
82%.
Students at Beaver Brae averaged 81% while Red Lake scored 80%.
The average score in Ignace was 77%, while Queen Elizabeth came in at 65% which is above the School’s average.
Parkin says a combination of initiatives can be credited to the high marks.
