The Dryden GM Ice Dogs couldn’t ask for a better start to the SIJHL season.
The Dogs won two straight at home on the weekend with an 8-1 win over the Thief River Falls Norskies Saturday night.
Jacen Bracko was the first star of the game with a pair of goals and two assists.
Eric Stout continued his torrid start to the season with another two goals.
Stout had opened the season with five goals.
Zac Schlitt, Braedyn Aubin, Braeden Allkins and Cory Dennis added singles.
The Ice Dogs out shot the Norskies 49-10 and scored five times on the powerplay.
Ben Dennis picked up his first SIJHL win in net.
In other league action, the Thunder Bay North Stars opened the season with a 5-3 win on the road in Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota.
