The Readiness Coordinator for the American Red Cross is urging everyone to come together in the event of an emergency.
Tony Guerra told delegates attending the Northwest Response Forum today that outside agenices and emergency groups helped avert a disaster during serious flooding in Duluth last summer.
Guerra says his motto is “I’ll share the disaster”.
He says it doesn’t matter if it’s a small house fire or a large disaster.
Guerra notes it takes a community to heal a community.
The flooding resulted in the opening of 4 shelters as 2,000 homes were either damaged or destroyed.
