Residents in the Kenora and Rainy River District seem to be heeding the advice of local health officials by getting their H1N1 flu shot.
More than 5,800 people have received the shot after the first week of clinics.
Officials say the amount of flu vaccine given out so far is about half of what the health unit administered during an entire flu season in the past.
Director of Health Protection Arlene Lasinski says the need for more clinics will be based on future demand.
Flu shot clinics today are being held in Atikokan, Ignace and Sioux Lookout by making an appointment.
