Student Group Against Provincial Budget

A lack luster provincial budget, that doesn’t contain anything in it to address the rising cost of University and College tuition.
Those words from the Chair of the Canadian Federation of Students Ontario.
Alastair Woods says a top priority for students was to see tuition fees drop by 30% in the budget.
Woods adds they also made recommendations that would combat unpaid internships and public transportation.
He says the Ontario Tuition Grant is also highly selective with two out of nine actually receiving any money.
The average debt for a student with public and private loans has increased by 460%.
