Students at Dryden High School are connecting their peers with local agencies and individuals who offer a range of physical, emotional and mental health supports in the community.
A Mental Health Share Fair was held at the school Tuesday.
Grade 9 student Hunter Bradley says the goal is to empower fellow students to connect to an individual or agency for any support or information they require.
Grade 12 student Amy Wickstrom says the goal was to reach out to some of the Grade 9 and 10 students.
Wickstrom says those are the years where students are often overwhelmed with school, work and everyday life.
The Fair officially launched a series of weekly discussions on various mental health topics.
Dryden High School recently established a “Jack Talks” group, aimed at addressing mental health needs, as well as combat the stigma of acquiring mental health support in the school and in the community.
