A 17-year-old high school student has made a plea to Dryden City Council to implement a smoke-free bylaw.
Natalie Urquhart of Dryden suffers from asthma and says that her social activities are often limited because of the number of public places that still allow smoking.
She feels she should be able to go anywhere in the city without being hindered by cigarette smoke.
Dryden Mayor Sid Wintle says administrators are working on a smoke-free bylaw and adds he hopes it will come before council for a vote by June.
