The man accused of grabbing the steering wheel of a Greyhound bus and then forcing it off the road said he had an overwhelming feeling of paranoia.
23-year-old Shaun Davis testified in a Thunder Bay court that his paranoia was fuelled by prescription drugs.
Davis has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disorder to several charges including manslaughter for the death of an elderly passenger.
The bus crashed near Upsala on December 23, 2000.
