Local students seem to be minding their A,B,C’s but not their 1, 2, 3’s.
Recent standardized test results show Grade 3, 6 and 9 students have Math marks behind the provincial average.
Public School Board Director of Education Jack McMaster says they actually have seen an increase in performance in the higher grades.
The Board says its also noticed that boys math marks continue higher than girls marks.
Superintendent of Education Sean Monteith notes that math marks for Grade three and six students not only declined locally, but right across the Province.
