The Tele-Health Service has turned out to be a vital tool for the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Last year, 242 patient consultations were completed via the video conferencing system and 87 educational sessions were provided.
Clinical Nursing Coordinator Linda Calbeck says patients love the program because they don’t have to travel long distances to seek medical advise.
Calbeck says because of the high demand they have had to make improvements.
The DRHC has hired a part-time nurse and received a new video-conferencing system.
Already this year 72 patient consultations have taken place.
