A strong showing for several local competitors at a fundraising Karate tournament held in Kenora on the weekend.
53-youth took part to raise more than $1,200 for local and regional scholarships to support karate students in their post-secondary education.
Dryden’s Abby Bell took home two gold medals, while Liam Norman also recorded a first place finish.
Sioux Lookout competitors Gabi Griffiths-Wigg, Avery McNiven, Evan Burch and Gabriel Otto all won gold as well.
