Sudden Drowning Death Reported In Whitedog First Nation

Provincial Police in Kenora are reporting a sudden drowning death in Whitedog First Nation Territory.

Police say on Friday they were dispatched to a report of a man who had entered the water and did not surface at the Goshawk lake landing.

Members of the OPP Marine and Trails Unit, OPP Crime Unit, Treaty Three Police Service and Kenora Ambulance attended the search and when the man was located he was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The man has been identified as 27 year old Desmond Boyd of Whitedog First Nation Territory.
