It seems like not everyone is behind a decision by North Star Air to offer service to the community of Summer Beaver.
The Chief of that community says they didn’t consent to the proposed route and that an airline can’t decide to fly into their First Nation without first engaging in community discussions.
In a statement, the Chief adds they aren’t part of the airlines revenue sharing agreement and note they are owners of Wasaya Airways and will continue to support their own airline.
