Calling all young entrepreneurs!
The Northwest Business Centre is now accepting applications from those aged 15 to 29 for a $3,000 grant to start a new summer business.
Manager Allyson Pele says the program has helped 20-young entrepreneurs over the past eight years.
The initiative also provides hands-on business coaching and mentoring from local community leaders.
Types of businesses started have included retail sales, food manufacturing, youth day camps, outdoor guiding, landscaping, music lessons, photography, construction services and graphic design.
The deadline to apply is April 30th.
