The executive director of the Sunset Country Travel Association says he doesn’t want to make
any tourism predictions for 2018.
Gerry Cariou admits his forecast for this past year was a bit off.
He adds that they don’t really have a good picture until the spring anyway, but he says it is hard to judge how many people will visit from the number of inquiries alone.
Cariou adds that the big challenge for them now is trying to reach Millenials, which is why they
are social media more and more.
