A new program to help local entrepreneurs.

The Starter Company Plus is a Government of Ontario program that is run through the Northwest Business Centre.

Centre Manager Allyson Pele says the initiative provides resources and knowledge to people who are looking to start, expand, purchase or grow their own business.

Pele says it’s open to anyone over the age of 18.

Participants are eligible to get up to $5,000 to help in their business ventures.

This is a follow up program to the original Starter Company program which helped 22 people start, expand or purchase businesses.

A total of 52 jobs were created as a result.

To apply email beth@nwbiz.ca or call 467-2954.
