A restaurant lobby group is coming out in support of a study calling for major reforms to how alcohol is sold in Ontario.
The C.D. Howe Institute report suggests a lack of competition is causing higher prices, less choice and lost government revenue.
President of Restaurants Canada Garth Whyte says increased competition would bring a more fair and equitable pricing system for restaurants and bar owners who now pay 30% over retail for a case of beer.
