In the light of Monday’s tragic death in Thunder Bay of an eight year old girl, the Chair of the Crime Prevention Council is speaking out.
Chair Tom Walters calls the incident a real tragedy.
He adds many people may not feel Thunder Bay is a safe community but he believes the city is a much safer place than residents give it credit for.
A candle light vigil and walk is being held tomorrow night from the Dease Park Pool to City Hall in memory of the slain eight year old.
