Talks Over Remembrance Day Becoming A Stat Holiday

A member of the Royal Canadian Legion wants to see Remembrance Day proclaimed as a stat holiday in every province and territory in Canada.
Veteran Roger Purnell says it would allow more people to attend ceremonies on November 11.
He says it makes sense to give everyone the day off.
Purnell says the day should be a statutory, paid holiday for all, and not just some.
Remembrance Day is still not a statutory holiday in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador.
