Tax Freeze Good and Bad

A 2-year freeze on property tax assessments will benefit Municipalities
but will likely hurt local homeowners.
The Province has implemented the freeze as it revamps the controversial
system.
Dryden City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says the move has its advantages
and disadvantages.
Hoogenboom says the bad news is if a property goes down in value, taxes
will not change until their is a reassessment.
He says the freeze will help Municipalities plan for future
projects.
