An early Christmas present for the Dryden Food Bank, the Legion and the Ukrainian Hall.
Council is expected to approve property tax relief for the three at the final meeting of the year next Monday.
The Food Bank will be receiving a 100% refund for their taxes, resulting in yearly savings of $3,900.
The budget for the organization this year is $120,000 and to date the Food Bank has handed out over 4,500 hampers.
The Food Bank has received relief from the City since 2007.
Relief for the Legion and Ukrainian Hall amounts to 40% of the municipal portion of taxes.
That results in combined savings of just over $4,000.
The grant was first approved by Council in 2011.
Council says all three provide a great service to the community.
