Tbaytel says there are no issues to report now that customers on three year cellphone contracts are free from any obligations to their service provider.
‘Cellphone Freedom Day’, as some have called it, took effect Wednesday.
Spokesperson Katie Crowe says they knew the day was coming and they were ready.
Crowe says they have been letting customers know about the changes and when their contract comes to an end.
She adds they are prepared to handle the increased number of customers who will need an upgrade.
Crowe wouldn’t say how many of their cellphone customers are affected by the move.
