Teacher Shortages

A shortage of doctors in the region and now a shortage of teachers.
Many school boards across the region are having a hard time finding qualified teachers to fill positions and the Northwest Catholic School Board is no exception.
Board Chair Wade Petranik says casual teachers are especially hard to find.
He adds the problem has not yet reached a crisis level since the catholic board has no retirees this year but there could be a serious shortage in a couple of years from now.
