Provincial Police in Red Lake are reminding residents to “Lock It or Lose It”.
Officers will be checking parked vehicles the next few weeks to ensure they are locked up and items are kept out of sight.
The stepped up enforcement comes on the heels of a crime spree in Balmertown last week.
Police say 15 unlocked vehicles and a garage were entered and a total of $100 in change was stolen.
A 17-year-old male youth has been charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property.
