It was a record breaking Friday in Dryden.
The thermometer reached 24-degrees, eclipsing the old mark of 22.9 set in 2014.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Service says most places in northwestern Ontario were just short of records that were set back in 1938.
Meantime, the region also was greeted with significant rainfall overnight.
