The Atikokon Forest Products Mill will be re-starting for the first
time since November, however only on a temporary basis.
Buchanan Forest Products officials say the intention is to run the
inventory that’s in the yard.
That means the 150-workers at the Atikokan facility will be on the
job for 6-weeks starting next week.
The Company is hoping that the high Canadian dollar and the low price
of lumber will correct themselves to prevent another round of layoffs.
