Terry Fox Run

A Canada-wide initiative to get everyone participating in the annual
Terry Fox Run at the same time is being welcomed locally.
Riverview School Library Technician Cheryl Victor met with the Public
School Board last week in hopes of getting staff and students involved in
the Run.
Director of Education Janet Wilkenson says it’s a worthwhile event.
Wilkenson says they will send out information on the September event to
every School in the District in hopes of getting everyone on Board.
The massive event was attempted in the Peel Region last year.
It went off without a hitch with over 250,000 students hitting the
streets at the same time.
