The Dryden Police Service is advising residents of a new scam in the area.
A local resident received a text message from a man claiming to be a UPS officer.
He advised her that she had just won $200.
The text went on to say she would get the money once she provided a filing fee.
She wasn’t fooled and reported the text message to police.
