“The Interview” Pulled From Movie Theatres

If you were hoping to travel to Thunder Bay to see the new Sony Pictures movie “The Interview”, you are now out of luck.
Cineplex, the parent company of the Silvercity theatre in the Lakehead, is postponing playing the Seth Rogan and James Franco flick.
In the movie the two set off in an assassination plot against North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.
In a statement to the media, Cineplex says it takes seriously its commitment to the freedom of artistic expression, but they want to reassure their guests and staff their safety and security is their number one priority.
They close by saying they look forward to a time when the Sony leak situation is resolved and those responsible are apprehended.
The move comes after numerous threats to moviegoers and cinemas in the United States by a hacker group dubbed the Guardians of Peace.
The group threatens 9/11 type attacks on Theatres who show the movie.
