Students at Queen Elizabeth High School in Sioux Lookout were treated to a special guest today (Wednesday) as part of the ‘Yellow Ribbon’ campaign on youth suicide.
Former NHL star, turned author Theron Fleury spoke to students about overcoming adversity.
Fleury told the audience that suicide is not an option, stressing it’s important to share problems and concerns with friends and family.
He added you can get through anything with the support of others.
The Stanley Cup champ is now a motivational speaker and travels the country sharing his experiences as a teen and young adult.
