The Dryden GM Ice Dogs scored five times in the third period, including three powerplay goals and a shorthanded goal, en route to a 7-2 win over Fort Frances at the Ice for Kids Arena Tuesday night.
The Ice Dogs only led 2-1 going into the final frame, when the usually disciplined Lakers derailed, resulting in Dryden GM playing with a man advantage for the final 10 minutes of the game.
Jacen Bracko was the offensive leader with a hat trick, while Malcolm Huemmert added two.
Ted Davis and Carson Lux also found the back of the net.
The Ice Dogs finished 3/12 on the powerplay.
Dryden GM outshot the Lakers 44-24 and now own a 3-0 lead in the SIJHL Semi-Final.
The Ice Dogs have outscored the Lakers 19-6 in the series.
Game #4 is Thursday night.
In the other SIJHL Semi-Final, Thief River Falls shutdown the North Stars attack in a 2-1 win in Game #1.
Game #2 is Wednesday.
