The Kenora ‘AAA’ Midget Thistles Hockey team has ended the season on a sour note.
The Thistles lost their final games of the year on home ice on the weekend, 3-2 and 7-4 to the Central Plains Capitals.
Dryden’s Ben Hackl had a pair of goals in the series, while Dylan Winsor of Ear Falls had 2-goals and 1-assist.
Kenora finished the campaign in tenth place, with an 18-26 record and four shootout losses, good for 40-points.
They are now off until March 16th, to start the Northwest Branch Championships against Thunder Bay.
