A lot of hockey for the Kenora ‘AAA’ Midget Thistles this weekend.
The Thistles played three games and each game went into overtime.
Friday night, Kenora prevailed 5-4 over the Yellowhead Chiefs in a shootout.
A similar result Saturday night, as the Thistles nipped the Chiefs 3-2 in a shootout.
The Thistles luck ran out Sunday, as they were bested 3-2 by the Pembina Valley Hawks in overtime.
They are back on the ice Wednesday night.
Dryden’s Matthew Pitchenese recorded a goal and an assist in the weekend series, while Jarod Price added an assist.
Devon Caren played in one game and made 24-saves for a victory.
