Those On Social Assistance Won’t Be Impacted By Potential Mail Strike

Canada Post workers are promising to deliver pension and social assistance cheque’s in the event of a strike of lockout.

No date for job action has been set.

The two sides held talks over the long weekend.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says some progress was made, but they still have a long way to go before they reach a good settlement.

The union adds no real progress has been made on issues impacting rural mail carriers, which includes wages and job security.
