Three Medical Students Now Working In Dryden

The Dryden Regional Health Centre is welcoming three new recruits from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

Berit Dool, George McKay and Carolyn Currie are third year medical students and will spend the next eight months training in Dryden.

Physician Recruiter Chuck Schmitt stresses the best sales pitch for recruitment is providing a great learning and living experience and showing the students everything Dryden has to offer.

Schmitt notes the program is a big part of their recruiting plan moving forward and says they’ve had a great working relationship with NOSM.

The three will conduct rounds in the morning and shadow physicians as well as co-op in the Clinic and other health care facilities.
