The wait is over and it’s time to hit the field for the Dryden Eagles High School Football team.
The Eagles open the new campaign at home Friday against the Lorette Collegiate Scorpions.
Defensive Coordinator Neil McLeod says expectations are high as they have a great mix of seniors and rookies.
McLeod says his team is excited and notes they had great numbers in camp.
The Eagles have big shoes to fill this year with the departure of All-Star Brayden Hansson.
Jarret Hicks and Bruce Anderson are expected to fill the void and McLeod notes their offensive game plan won’t change from last season.
This will be the first time ever that Dryden and Lorette have met in the Winnipeg High School Football League and McLeod says they just have to play their game.
Kick-off is 3:30 at Harry McMaster Field.
