A Border Service Guard at Pigeon River in Thunder Bay is without a job after being found to be in violation of the border service agency’s code of conduct.
In a report from the public sector integrity commissioner, the officer, who has not been identified, maintained a relationship with known organized crime figures in Thunder Bay and did not take action against them as his duties require.
Canada’s public service watchdog says the border officer’s conduct broke ethics rules and left the officer unable to do his job properly.
