Thunder Bay Man Fined $5,000 For Hunting Offence

A Thunder Bay man has been hit with a $5,000 fine for careless hunting.

Clarence Roberts was also placed under a 5-year ban for that offence and was given an extra one year suspended sentence for shooting from a roadway.

The charges date back to September 2014, where conservation officers say Roberts illegally shot a moose in the Armstrong area.

Two men witnessed and recorded the shooting.
