Thunder Bay Selected For Cannabis Store

Only one northwestern Ontario municipality will have a stand-alone cannabis store when the federal government makes marijuana legal next July.

Thunder Bay is one of fourteen cities in the province identified by the Ministry of Finance and Liquor Control Board of Ontario for the LCBO-run store.

Exact locations have not been revealed, but a release from the LCBO says they’re meeting with staff to discuss guidelines and the site selection process.

It says the public will also be allowed to provide input.
