The 5,000 job cuts announced by Bombardier Thursday are not likely to affect the Thunder Bay plant.
A company spokesperson tells Acadia News that the impacts will be mainly felt in Europe with no significant impacts on Bombardier Rail Canada.
The jobs cuts are expected to save Bombardier $280-million.
