A plan to add 64 new child care spaces in Dryden has been put on the
back burner.
The congregation at Timbers Community Church wanted to buy the old
Hillcrest School & create a day care facility but became caught up in
government red tape.
Jason Owen told Council Monday nite there is $3.8 million available
from the Province under the Best Start Program but details are severely
lacking.
The door has been left open for Timbers to revive the idea but the
Government has put a deadline for spending the funds of next March & Owen
says that is cutting it too close for members of the Church.
