Time to Retire “Old Rusty” – and Help Dryden Food Bank

Good Fun from a local business: A Dryden shop is retiring the oldest vehicle in its fleet – and hoping they can assist the local food bank.

(Old Rusty waiting for a precious cargo.)

Hoover Electric refers to their old GMC van as “Old Rusty” and a quick look (stare) at the vehicle is enough to understand why. The Hoover crew have pulled their equipment out of the van, and parked it out in front of their shop at 158 Grand Trunk Avenue where it will sit between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm until Thursday, July 28 when “Old Rusty” will make one final trip – to the Dryden Food Bank!

Every (and ANY) one wanting to make a donation is invited to drop off non-perishable food items daily. Becki Hoover says if they fill the van early, they’ll take the haul to the Food Bank and start over. There is also a chance “Old Rusty” may show up at locations around town, assuming ‘he’ feels like running that day.
