Drydenites may be faced with higher tipping fees at the Highway 502 landfill site.
Dryden City Council has agreed in principle to hike fees by 15 percent.
Residents now pay 57.50 per tonne to use the landfill site.
Public Works Supervisor Keith Apland says even with the hike, the site is expected to operate on a deficit.
Apland blames annual monitoring and testing costs on the situation.
