The Area Governor for Toastmasters is out promoting the program.
Jerry Wilson says there are several perks to joining the club.
Wilson says several companies pay for their employees to come to Toastmasters to gain experience in public speaking and leadership.
Wilson adds if they don’t you can always claim your dues with Revenue Canada.
Donna Sillery is the President of the Dryden club and she says it’s Donna Sillery says it’s not just about public speaking.
Sillery says it develops listening skills and allows you to develop your thoughts.
She notes they meet every Thursday at 6:30 at the Best Western.
Everyone is welcome to come out, and Sillery says there is no pressure to join immediately.
