An exciting time for the Experimental Lakes Area.
Matt McCandless with the International Institute for Sustainable Development says they are about to embark on another season of research.
It will be the second year with the IISD at the help of the outdoor research facility west of Vermilion Bay.
One of the new projects highlighted by McCandless is on diluted bitumen, which would be the oil product following through the proposed Energy East Pipeline.
McCanless says he expects to see almost twice as many researchers out at the ELA this year, compared to last year.
